Thanks for the update. I applied on the 30th of Nov to the FSR posting.
Before that I applied to a subcontractor and am in the hiring process right now. Training is to begin sometime in January, there are just waiting on the notice to proceed from the government. Rotation is 6 on 2 off, that's paid time off, but only base pay.
It's too bad, I had no knowledge of the Scan Eagle or any other UAV jobs that were in the middle east until I found this site. I had my head in my ass looking for security work all damn year and last year too!
I never thought my Raven experience would land me this type of job, that's why I never really tried, if I did I would be over there right now, and probably have been for quite some time.
By the way, based on an older post by GunnerV, Insitu is not interviewing in December.

I am new to these forums but I am looking to get my fingers out there and get things going ahead of time. I am currently Active Duty Army and I am reclassing to 15W which is the UAV Pilot. I slotted to be trained initially on the Shadow system.
I will have a two year commitment after I recieve the training which will give me a release date of OCT 2014. I realize that this is a little far out but I believe it is never too soon to get things going.
I will be looking for a civilian sector job in this field and would prefer something near the North Carolina area. Any help would be definately appreciated and of course any advice would also be appreciated.
Please feel free to contact me at [email protected]
