Just wondering what's the requirements to join Insitu?

I am majoring in Computer Science and in two years, I will have my private license and my CFI license as well. I also have a secret clearance at a computer science company when I was an intern.

I can only do the third class medical, that's the only downside for me.

I am curious as to what life is like when deployed? Basically working 18 hour days, 7 days per week? I've seen unclassified picture of living conditions. Some in tents and some in trailer looking units.

Does anyone have info what could be the norm? Are you primarily located in Green Zones, on bases? Do you get to pick your deployment assignments?

Smile MDA' UAV work

MDA's team works 12 hour shifts 6 days a week.
We are in the nicest, safest housing you can get in KAF
You do not get to pick your own location to be delpoyed to, but the durations and time of deployment are flexible. Currently it is 8 weeks in, 4 weeks out Pay is good and so are the bonuses for retention.

Check out Heron System and click on Careers for more info.

Anyone at Insitu or ISR Group have any inside info on the recent postings for UAV operators?

I'm very interested and was just curious to know if things are still similar to what GunnerV mentioned a year or so ago at the beginning of this thread...

TurboDog - Since I just joined this board, it won't let me pm (and I don't want to spam the board with posts just to get the req'd number for PMs) - but if you're willing you can shoot me an email at [email protected] - thanks.

We (Insitu) are hiring again. Interviews every month (except December) for the forseeable future. If you are interested and have a clearance, some deployed experience, and a aviation or computer background, you should go to our website and post your resume.
