Well then there wouldn't be a reason to have a review board if those interviewed would be more or less sure to pass it.

It's very unfortunate you did not make it yet you feel like you cut the grade. But you know what, you need to let it go and just move on. In life you will always win some and lose some. Getting bent up over one that you lost and not letting go will do you more harm than good. It is what it is and tomorrow is another day. With your drive, it's only a matter of time before the next door opens up. Good luck mate and stay positive!

It really isn't all what its cracked up to be flying at Eagle. To all that weren't hired, you will eventually find a better gig somewhere with better career progression. Don't let it keep you guys down..

I had no issues with any of it prior to AE because I understand that it's a very selective market. Again...my issue with AE is the fact that they invite you to interview (which means they feel you're qualified), offer you a job conditionally (which means you interviewed well and they simply are awaiting your background check/drug tests as detailed in the letter) and then rescind the offer without supplying a reason. From my experience, this is backwards, wasteful and unprofessional. All I'm saying is that I think they should only interview people they are reasonably assured will get through the review board. Same goes for the conditional job offers (only give them to people you'll recommend to the board). Airlineapps and the interview gives them everything they need to know unless your background check shows you lied. If the board is going to reject furloughed 121, then stop interviewing furloughed 121. If they're going to reject guys with 1,000 turbine PIC, then don't interview them. And if they still insist on interviewing people they don't want (???), then at least explain the real nature of the review board instead of claiming it's just pending a drug test/background check.

Anyway I'll stop beating a dead horse!!!
You should write a thank you for the opportunity letter and ask for areas that you can improve for future consideration.

I did, more or less, in e-mail form but CC told me to reapply in six months, there was no response from RK, and they've otherwise indicated they won't discuss it. Anyway I've moved on; just felt like venting about the process and offering ideas on how to make it more pleasant (read: less stressful) on the applicants while also cutting back on wasted resources. Either way, I landed an instruction gig so I'm a happy camper.

Thanks for the answer! I'm still under qualified for these jobs. Hopefully by the next round I will have instructed enough to make the jump, just trying to learn all I can about the process.

Best of luck to those of you who are interviewing.

With the arbitration ruling for the flow through guys..are we going to see sustained eagle hiring for the foreseeable future? More than the 200 they were hiring for the CR7s? I had heard when I went in for my interview that they were looking to bag 400-500 guys in anticipation of this + crj7s + rest rule changes, but wasn't sure if this was just conjecture or not. What do ya'll think?
