hope so. I want to work at Eagle bad. Got a few friends there, they all love it, and live fairly well $ wise. It def takes the cake for me regional wise and my future. I also like it has the most in common overall to a major airline.
The cherry on the cake was my trip to Dallas. Was night and day from the other regionals I interviewed with.

I'd say ORD EMJ FO will see some good movement:
With 59 ERJ airframes based in ORD and staffing 5 crews per plane that would mean the company wants a total of 295 ORD ERJ FOs. Currently, only 274 ORD ERJ FOs on the list. The Jan 17th newhire class had 6 OFE slots, Jan 31st class will have 5 more, and a vacancy bid just came out for 17 additional OFEs. I'd expect to see a steady diet of OFE openings for newhire classes in the next few months, maybe 3-6 per class.
So you can definitely see there is some movement already for the bottom of the list, and additionally there will be movement at the top of the list with the senior ORD ERJ FOs bidding for upgrade opportunities on the ERJ and CRJ in ORD.
Good luck on the checkride!

FlyBy...hate to ask you for a system wide synopsis but can you include your thoughts on Miami and, as unlikely as it is that there will be an opening, L.A. I am planning on bidding for ERJ due to the size of the fleet and flexibility that would offer but want to have as much info as possible before final decision (which is a bit of a crap shot anyway).
I have friends and family in L.A. that would make even a long reserve sit something to consider. In talking with some people during the interview they said L.A. grew something like 65% last month...any other growth expected and if so would it be permanent? Other than that I am trying to decicde between DFW, ORD, & MIA. I am currently thinking ERJ Thanks in advance

Im not sure where you live or will be commuting from, but in general I would shoot for the MIA ERJ if possible. Followed by ORD ERJ, DFW ERJ. Good luck!
Also as a note, we do have a lot of guys who are ERJ in NYC/ORD/DFW but trade their trips for LAX flying, or pick up extra overtime flying in LAX since they have relatives in the area. It is a nice way to make some extra cash and get to stay with family/friends at the same time.

New help with an interview question i just can't seem to find (frustrating), lol:
When do you make the in-flight decision to utilize the second alternate? And what is the fuel requirement based on, the first or second alternate?
thanks

One other question:
my instrument currency expires Jan 31st (6 month currency, not 12 month). i was planning on doing some flying this weekend to keep myself instrument current, but if i do that my logbook hours and airlineapps hours won't match. The gouges say that they print your airlineapps application the day you call for the interview which was last week. I'm fairly certain that being instrument current is important for the interview, so should i just fly it and explain to the on the day of the interview that i flew recently to keep instrument current?
