Correct, it does suck. Colgan is eagerly awaiting your application. Good luck!

JFK hasnt had any openings in a long time for current line pilots or newhires. Actually, I dont believe any newhires have been offered JFK in this latest hiring spree. They have been shrinking JFK flying recently, and we have gone from ~80 lines about a year ago to 44 lines for September and a rumored 28 lines for November.

Avoid JFK like the plague. If you want NY go to LGA. Why?

- You can't walk from any crashpad to JFK.
- For me, not as many flights to Boston as there are in LGA.
- Big airport...takes forever to get from the curb to the crew room.
-You have to go through security to get to a crew room.
- Too many doors with alarms on them.

Alright maybe my argument isn't that convincing but I like LGA much better. If you have the choice pick LGA and then in your travels through JFK see if you'd like it better. I'd say 9 out of 10 guys I know would prefer LGA.

I'm interviewing at both. I have an open mind about both places for different reasons. I guess I'll see which one will impress me the most.

As I once told a newhire, "you have way too much attitude to be so junior."
