Just interview today. Went great. There were six of us today. CC said they hope to have a captains review board this Friday and the following Friday's. So far they have not called anyone to set up a class date because the review board has yet to meet.
She said as far as today, a Feb. 15th class is still likely with 8 new hires. March 1st is probably after that, but not sure how many would be in the following classes. This hiring was pretty much unexpected so they are a little behind on things right now. She'd like to give the first class at least two weeks notice, so hopefully the CA's can organize and get together this week!
She didn't know about equipment or bases either. They have 600 apps they haven't even looked at yet, so be patient if you're still waiting on a call.

well i have my hard logbook with all the endorsments etc from my flight training days and my logbook pro which has all my 121 time but i dont think i have the time to get the paper and the nice binder the other gentlman was discussing. next week. so i guess i'll transfer over everything to the hard log just to be on the safe side.

joethepilot- How did you bind your electronic logbook? Did you pay the ridiculous amount requested by nc-software or did you use something like fedex office? Just curious because logten pro recommends nc-software and the logbook(binder) is outrageously priced at like 150 bucks! Thanks for the heads up.

I had a similar setup - pre 121 was ink and my 121 time was a logbook pro printout. I went to fedex office/kinkos and had them use resume paper + black covers on each end with a spiral binding. It cost ~20 bucks. Regular laser paper costs ~14 bucks. The guy that reviewed my logbook liked it, so unless you're dying to burn cash there's no need to blow it on nc-software's turnkey service.
A few pointers that may or may not have been mentioned:
1) For all jobs in the last 10 years, bring addresses, phone numbers, FAX NUMBERS, dates of employment etc.; this helps immensely
2) study jepps
3) know your current aircraft
4) study up on regs (when can you start/continue an approach, alternate mins, rest requirements, etc.)
5) If you're thinking about applying, or are awaiting a call, get transcripts and 5-year driving records ready to go as these are hard to get last-minute
6) Don't go rollin' fat blunts and getting hammered before your medical :-P
Good luck to those that haven't interviewed yet, and to those that have, I'm with you anxiously awaiting the CA review board. It was nice to meet all of you on Monday!

Hey guys. Quick question about the application. For the references for unemployment, did everyone put references for when they were in middle school if it fell within the 10 years they were looking for? I was 14 then and started my first job when I was 15. I explained that in the unemployment section that followed but is that enough? I have a tough time of thinking of two professional references when I didn't have a job before then. I just don't want that to be the reason why I don't get a call. Thanks!
