Of course plans can change in an instant and often do. I never know anything until I read about it in the paper.
Read CM's letter that was released today. Those 3's and 5's are not leaving as fast as you think. I believe there is a very good chance we will hire more this year!

Ran into SWA folks that know about hiring things at an event the other day. They weren't sure when window would open but thought within next few weeks. (Technical issues from the sound of it.) "Check daily" was what I was told.
It will be open for a week or so and they were saying 100 "externals" to be hired from the window being open.

At least 100 is what I have heard, possibly more depending on oil prices and the economy, etc.

I see SWA requires a current FAA first class medical. Do they consider 61.23(d) to be ok for the purposes of applying? (i/e is a first class good for a year if you're under 40 -- or does SWA require every six months?) Do I need to run out and get a fresh medical. Mine's not due until June under 61.23(d)

Thanks in advance for the info!
