The original intent of the bid was to account for growth in 2014...for which they would have to start interviewing, hiring, and training later this year. We've heard all sorts of numbers....from the downgrades mentioned above, to hiring as many as 100. All of these were probably correct at one time, but the company's own plans appear uncertain, delaying the bid. One thing's for sure; they continue to look at additional routes, and ultimately this will require additional staffing. Any bid published now will likely see another in 2 or 3 months.

If all works out I assume the next " wave" of hiring could be shortly before the a321's arrive. Say around 2016 or sooner if the a /c arrive sooner. Then there's always hiring for attrition. Slow but steady attrition |
