Group of 9 did phase3 in the spring... they are next up for class.

If I remember the last class of maybe 4 went through in May I think...

Or sometime around there...they most likely got done with IOE and consolidation late July early August.....

Hawaiian should have plenty of applicants to chose from the window last year..IMO, it would be a waste of time and $$ to redo a whole application process for just a handful of new hires in 2014...

Hopefully prior to the NEO's showing up there will be a slight opening of the floodgates

I know for a fact 9 have done phase 3 and NO class has happened since -these happened back in April/May time frame....my buddy is in that group (we both interviewed in Sept.), my other buddy was in the last actual class

When is the award date for this vacancy bid?
Nothing will probably happen until that date.

Rama 09-15-2013 08:42 PM

Effective date is 6/1/2014.

Is this for the bid that showed a whopping 14 new hires?? Or is there something else out there I missed. I would love to hear the need for more than 14 between now and mid next year.

Looks like 7 spots each on the 330 and 717 for new-hires. Good luck to all.

Any idea on class dates?

Just a wild guess....if they're retiring 767's and they have excess 76 crews, they'll be put into the training pipeline first. New hires...probably the end of the year or early next year....again, just a WAG....but the good news is there will be new hires! The rest of the story...as a new hire you'll be on reserve for a while on the 330...or you'll get to fly daily on the 71...and in either case....you'll be a lucky SOB!

Absolutely.. Either a/c sure beats the heck out of going up and down the East coast in an -88 or -73.... You can either be home every night OR do long haul intern. Right from the start
