Dont get ahead of yourself, wait until class. My class had around 6 people going back and forth from the Saab to the Q for all of Indoc, literally every day they were on different planes. The company did not know what they wanted to do with them. Dont plan anything until your in systems. Wait.... Scratch that, ask the last Pinnacle class how that worked. Enjoy your time before you get there and quit trying to plan ahead it wont do you any good.

Can anyone tell me what is the average time on reserve for both the q400 and Saab. A friend had a friend finish training and supposedly had a line right out of training. Is that true or is reserve a couple months?

The only people who got lines out of training were in BOS but we are now down to reserve.the way it is looking is you wont see a line for awhile in any of them, I would say all would be atleast a year, the Qs being longer. The only one I could see less would be CRW

These "Qs" are strictly spares. Right now we run the entire NE with one spare out of EWR. This is why we backed off on 90+hr lines in this next schedule. We don't have the airframes to handle it. In total EWR will have 4 spares and IAH will have 3 spares. This came straight from T.F.

For a time it held true on both equipment. Right now, I'd say your best bet to hold a line right out of training would be on the Saab, since 20+ JFK FO's being displaced into the Q400 and will be sitting reserve once in base.

Depends where you interviewed... MN= Saab or Q400, TN=CRJ. Most new hires will go into the Saab with a small trickle into the Q400. I wouldn't call either an "intro" aircraft, insurnace mins are 1000/100 for Saab/Q while 9E are flowing in 250hr wonders from Universities.

It seems like they are adding too many Q pilots in IAH for all 3 to be spares. We already have 15+ reserve lines there. But what do I know.

^^^ It's definitely not related to United, they didn't like our on time performance. Anyone wondering why so much additional emphasis has been put on it recently? I wonder....
