JetBlue app. window open?
#64
I saw this on FAPA "The carrier requires newly hired pilots to sign a two-year no-compete agreement in which the pilot agrees to not accept re-employment with the most recent Part 121 air carrier employer. The two-year term starts on the first day of initial pilot training class." Does anyone know what this means? No going back to a previous employee or no going on to someone else or a two year fly for JetBlue contract? I haven't seen it anywhere else and the verbiage seems strange. Just wondering... I of course will take what I can get before worrying about other options, but just wanted to know if anyone else had info.

I just submitted and got this reply email (see below). Not sure if this is good or bad. No request of a detailed flight hour breakdown.
Any idea on how many pilots they are hiring?
Are they expanding or losing pilots to other carriers?
Any idea on how many apps they have received or projected to receive?
Seems like their website is running smoothly whereas Alaska's slowed down because of the web traffic a while back.
Good look to all!

Some of you really have no clue how to fill out an online application or read instructuion! I can also see that some of you have done ZERO research on the company or their hiring outlook, all that info is a available online. Simply amazing!

However, if you need it to meet the minimums.... as they only are requiring 500 FW time and the rest can be RW..... find a way to list it... and in the "aircraft type" section of the grid, just note it as the type of helicopter. They will understand and it should be entirely acceptable.

Thanks, I had a real solid rec from a guy I use to fly with in the Air Force. Reading one of the other boards in the majors section, looks like there were a few more app first timers that got called as well. Got my fingers crossed, good luck to everyone on here! Any advice or lessons learned from those that have already interviewed would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
