Job Summary: Responsible for conducting Production test flights, Customer delivery flights, and post-maintenance flights in accordance to company policies and procedures, supporting the principle that a thoroughly tested, quality aircraft is delivered to the customer.

Responsible for ensuring all Production aircraft comply with Cessna Aircraft Company specifications and applicable FAA regulatory requirements, while maintaining Cessna Customer quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform required ground inspections, production test flights and aircraft delivery flights on Cessna Citation and Caravan aircraft in accordance with Cessna Functional Tests and applicable FAA regulatory requirements.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of appropriate aircraft models, systems, avionics, equipment, options, product changes and updates.

Record aircraft discrepancies and data in a thorough, precise manner. Maintain aircraft documentation in a neat, accurate and timely fashion.

Assist flight line technicians in troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies in an efficient and thorough manner.

Interface with Customers, Completions personnel and other applicable organizations during the Completion and Delivery phase of aircraft, demonstrating professionalism and integrity both in personal appearance and actions.

Provide Management with ideas and input regarding continuous improvements to products and processes. Communicate with and ensure department personnel are aware of noteworthy issues.

Respond to aircraft releases in a prompt and efficient manner, while supporting Production and Delivery schedule needs.

Adhere to and support Flight Operations policies, procedures, guidelines and responsibilities.

Fully supports the Department Safety Management System with emphasis on safety as the prime consideration for all operations.

Working Conditions:

Modern office environment in close proximity to the aircraft production line and experimental aircraft flight line.

Qualifications

Education:

B.S. Degree in Technical discipline or Associate Degree/A&P License with 2 years technical experience.

Position Requirements:

FAA Airline Transport Pilot license
Airplane Single-engine and Multi-engine Land license
FAA 1st Class Medical
Prefer 2,500 hrs total time, 1,500 hrs multi-engine, 500 hrs turbine
Citation experience a plus

Wow, yeah I have noticed that Cessna runs a job rec then pulls it pretty quick. That just means they already know who they want for the role. You can get on the list if you try hard enough. If you want to work there you need to keep your resume in the database, check the job board all the time, work your internal connections, even call the manager in the department you want to work for. Persist and persist some more. HR does respond to persistence in my experience. It may take months for it to work for you. It used to be a great company, I have not heard how it is now with the continued Textron domination and Mr. Pelton's removal.
