Generally speaking, most pilots are looking to close the gap between them and a major airline. CFIs/91/135 pilots will go to a regional, regional pilots will go to a better one, but most likely try to get on with a major. UAL, DAL, SWA, etc aren't going to hire a straight CFI (unless the shortage myth actually does come true), no matter how many hours he might have. Instructing does "blow" in respects to career progression. You will work much harder than you will at jobs higher up the ladder. With that said, you gotta work your way up & pay your dues. Period.

I interviewed 3 months ago, got offered a job with Republic and the class dates at the time didnt work for me. When I contacted them back for dates, they told me they would get in touch with me and haven't heard anything. Should I keep waiting or try somewhere else?
