I stand corrected! They make the paint. However, the FAA requires a special STC to use the colors together!

Their LinkedIn page is pretty vague also. Just the minimums for hire. Very high for both FO's and CA's. Odd. Who knows.

Wouldn't it have to be for the initial cadre?

PEX tried to buy Xtra airways. they could never come up with the money. The rumor is that they are starting flights using Vision. Not sure where they are getting the planes for their own operation. They still plan on using 400s when everyone else is trying to get away from them due to the 1 million dollar fuel tank inspection that has to be done this yr. Saw they are also seeking mechanics. Without listing the flight bases or route and pay I think that they are just tooting their own horn to ramp up investors. I really doubt they will ever fly their own plane.

Below are some questions I emailed the company to try to find out more info:

I am sure you are quite busy sorting through resumes but I thought it would hurt to ask a few questions not listed on your website;

Approximately how many First Officer positions do you anticipate for your initial hiring?

When do you expect calls to go out for those who have already applied?

Will you interview and hire/pool candidates prior to officially opening for business?

Thank you in advance for your time, I will be anxiously waiting and watching for future developments.

Below was the email received:

Thank you for your interest in joining the PEOPLExpress Team. We appreciate you contacting us with your questions regarding our hiring plans.

We are currently finalizing our launch and service plans which will determine the specific answers to your questions. We anticipate having these plans finalized in the coming weeks at which time we will be in contact with applicants for all of our posted career opportunities.

We are flattered to have received such a strong response from so many well qualified applicants. We are carefully reviewing all the applications we have received, but as I am sure that you can understand, based on the volume of applications this is a time consuming process. We will continue our review as we move toward the start of our formal interview process and contact applicants as we are prepared to move to the next step in the process with them.

Again, thank your for your enthusiasm for and interest in a career with PEOPLExpress!

Best regards,
Steve

sounds like the generic responses that were given for the last two years whenever any question was asked. I guess we'll see

I heard they want Miami Air to fly for them initially with the -800s. I personally dont see it happening, I know -800s are not cheap to charter.
