For those who were discussing splitting rooms and crashing on floors, sounds like this ground school is at the Crowne. If that's out of your budget, The Puffin Inn has a decent crew rate with Ravn employees, and it's early enough that you won't have to deal with the summer rates.
The rooms are... Fine. And the Millennium is only a block away for "dinner!"

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like you know a thing or two about how Hageland operates. Some of us got ground school dates and some of us didn't get an email. Are they going to be having another ground school after the May class? A few of us on here got the hiring email saying they will contact us back in a week and nothing after that. I know nothing is set in stone, just would like to get an idea of what is in the works.
If it's been a week since that email, it might not hurt to reach back out in a few days. Not sure if it was Erin who sent the email or what, but everybody stays pretty busy so a reminder probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

No CMEL here. I'm a new CFI (January), and so far this pay period I've logged less than six flight hours instructing. Rest of the week ain't looking good either, so with the new pay increase for the Caravan SIC, it makes sense for a Pacific Northwest instructor to GTFO. Summers are great, but it would be a shame to have to instruct 7 days a week and not get to enjoy said summer while attempting to make up for the lousy winter. The 14 on/off schedule sounds like a winner.
I'll be coming from the Bremerton area of WA. I grew up in IA, college in MN, so I'm familiar with the lower 48 standard for cold. Still, bracing for sure!
