They shouldn’t have let this go on for as long as it did.
As soon as they confirmed it was empty they should have shot it down.
This could have been 9-12.
WTF over.....

Recalling the Skywest pilot who killed his girlfriend. Glad he didn’t get off the ground.

I can guarantee that F-15 is not unarmed. It probably was not shot down, but there were very real munitions on there.

Agreed! He was clearly suicidal and flew over residential areas. It's a miracle he didn't take innocents out with him!

First thought needs to be terrorism.
Shot down, discover he was suicidal?
Well he achieved his goals.
Suicide by “cop”.

Disgruntled employee. My biggest concern would have been he decided to crash into the terminal. They probably should have taken him out when he was flying over the sound.

There’s always been a “plan” for the air defense of the US using armed fighters and it started way before 9/11. Air Defense alert fighters are always armed and always have been. The unarmed aircraft on 9/11 just happened to be in the area while training. 9/11 didn’t suddenly make the US start arming AD fighters.

He did ask if they would give him a pilot job at Alaska if he completed the loop. Also said low pay helped drive this. Maybe that will help bring up pay.
