The contract states that Q200 CA's cannot be put into the RJ or Q400 as a captain, so as Bundesliga says, Q200 CA's will now become FO's.

Why wouldn't it be handled as a simple displacement? There are several captains on the Q200 who have the seniority to Q400 in PDX. In a displacement, wouldn't these guys displace junior Q400 captains back to the right seat?

I know Piedmont managment has mentioned at least a passing interest in the 200's. They have the oldest operating fleet of 100's in the nation I believe, and I'm sure they would love to retire some of their 100's, which are all timed out according to Bombardiers original life spans. I flew serial number 009 last month... Pretty not fun...

Last I heard, Ali came into some recurrent class or something, and told people that it should be around 200 pilots going in November.

Second furlough in a year, woo hoo. I can tell you one thing, I'm not going to another airline, and it might be a difficult decision to go back or not, whenever that may be.

I wonder if they will at least give me my base transfer before I get the boot. I am almost to the point where I want them to furlough me so I can get something else started. At least let me know when I will be gone so that I can start making plans.
