I am thinking about how to check the third option. Perhaps take the ballot to the bathroom first. But then it probably wouldn't be counted.

Thats how I thought you guys would vote with the original TA. But the pilot group at QX didn't fail to eat the rotted baby carrot on that one so i wont hold my breath...

See: Airline CEO Compensation

Note that no other regional CEO's are listed. But I would venture to guess that most of those guys are pulling down at least 2.7M a year.

QX & AS have been doing this since the beginning. I started with QX in the year of the AS buyout. It was always my ambition to move on to AS eventually, but after 12 years, flying as F28 CA and applying repeatedly, could never even get an interview. So I moved up by departing AAG.

Shortly after the buyout we had an ALPA drive and vote. The AS pilot group promised 'maybe' a joint MEC. It was clear that the AS group viewed QX as second-class citizens and would guarantee nothing. Just the slightest change in attitude from the AS group would have tipped the scales and QX would be ALPA today (not saying that would or would not be a good thing).

Despite the movement of many QX pilots/managers to AS over the years, a corporate philosophy of a 'wall of separation' between the pilot groups seems to have remained intact. Speaking from a historical perspective, I would say that anything short of a guaranteed position at AS has no value for the average QX pilot.

Our airline is pretty small, 600 pilots and 48 airplanes. His salary was higher than the CEO's of US Airways, Airtran, Hawaiian, Southwest and JetBlue. GJ has said we need to reduce the pilot salaries to be more in line with the market average. My point is his salary seems to be quite above the market average for airline CEO's.

I know a lot of our pilots changed their mind before the vote on the original TA,
I did and voted yes. But there were gains in that TA, there are none in this one. Already sent in my NO vote.

It would make me very pleased to be proven wrong on this one. Seriously.
