Well, if the rates on this site are correct, we pay more than everyone. And you will probably upgrade in year two. See below.
I think the problem was management didn't fully appreciate the upward movement of our pilots, and kept the previous pay rates too low for far too long. We are now playing catch up. We have had a net gain of 20 Q drivers and 20 jet drivers since I got hired a few months ago; we are catching up, just slowly. We are maxing out the slots for ground school, but not everyone is passing, and that is a good thing because standards are still being upheld.
I have a felling that the pain we are experiencing will be felt by other regionals soon, due to upward movement.

Flight path symbol. The cross pointer prior to vnav capture (or flch) on takeoff is light years better in my opinion, as flight path is the result pitch and power combinations. But the philosophy is aligned with "flight path management", a Threat and Error component. I think prioritizing the flight path visually serves to reinforce the primacy of flight path awareness over attitude. It is slow to react unlike attitude, and I look forward to going to a boeing product someday.

Upgrade classes skip a month sometimes for many different reasons. This time it was due to a shortage of check airman to fly with upgrades. The whole place ain't burning to the ground, so don't freak out.
