JB launches fleet review - bye bye E190?

Yeah, but the two planes Robin has publicly said we are looking at as E190 replacements are the CS100 and the E195-E2. The E195-E2 has a higher MTOW and seating capacity than CS100. I agree that on a per seat basis there probably is very little difference in up front and operating cost as you say, but I just want to make sure people know that the 195 E2 is bigger than the CS100, and therefore ought to command higher pay rates than industry standard CS100 rates.
If people have in their head that emb is smaller than C series, they are more likely to be ok with crappier pay rates. I maintain that E195 E2 needs to pay more than the market rate for CS100 since it’s bigger and holds more.

The poor Bombardier support and uncertainty of the CSeries program almost two and a half years ago were definitely reasons to be cautious, but I wonder how much risk there would have been to having that bidding war and making a purchase back then and waiting to see how development played out.
Let's jump back to this time last year. At that time no one believed Airbus would come to rescue the CSeries or that the USITC would rule in favor of Bombardier. Industry observers expected a tariff of almost 90% to be levied against the CSeries.
...
Perhaps jetblue had better intel than me or airbus gave them a figurative wink and a nod to sit tight on the fleet review. I've only been closely observing this industry for a couple years now, but I don't see why jetblue would hold off on this decision until after the trade ruling if its number one choice was the E2. It feels like too much risk vs. little reward.

Azul is the launch customer for the E195 E2. Widerøe is the launch customer for the E190 E2. Being the launch customer for any jet isn’t in the cards, even if we wanted to. Perhaps the first (and only) North American operator for the E2? (hope not).

Did they open up a foot well so you can drop your feet into a normal position? Right now with the raised cockpit floor but NOT raised pilot seat you look like an adult sitting in a kids chair with your feet flat on the floor. Hard on the back with your knees always above your hips...
