Our best bet is to offer something they don't, which would be transcon premium cabin service. Short haul west coast flying is a suicide mission at this point for us.
True. I could see us doing longer range international flying from JFK/BOS before burning cash on the West coast.

SWA would love to grow their transcon flights. They're planning to open a second California base between now and the end of 2018. In January, Gary Kelly announced GCM and reminded the employees that GCM is one of the 50 destinations he keeps mentioning. They're expecting Hawaii service to be announced first half of 2018. SWA is hiring more pilots and flight attendants for this growth. Many have suggested that SWA will acquire another carrier soon since there is only way to reach the 50 destinations. The list has included: B6, HA, and NK. It's only a matter of time before we see is really going to happen over there, but it looks to be big.

"Of course, the other new announcement is that we’ll be serving Grand Cayman. Grand Cayman and Cincinnati will both start up service on June 4. Grand Cayman is an opportunity to expand our international footprint and as you all know, we have a list of roughly 50 potential Southwest destinations where we could begin service, and this is one."

Recent Boston service investments bring Delta to 103 peak-day departures in October 2017, an increase of 20 departures versus July 2016. Delta and its partners will serve 46 total destinations from Boston in 2017, including 17 international destinations and the largest transatlantic network.

Delta is the No. 1 carrier between Boston and New York, connecting business travelers with the Delta Shuttle, operated by Delta and its connection partner Republic Airline, with hourly service 16 times daily on week days between Logan Airport and New York City's LaGuardia Airport as well as offering eight daily flights to JFK.

This is definitely true. DL is just trying to get dots on a map in an attempt to save BOS based business travel. AA has been walking away from BOS routes and DL starts them up, so I don't see this as a huge threat to JB.

Did American drop pit-Bos?
Pretty sure they got rid of Bos-but and Delta stepped right in.
American is quickly becoming a hub to hub operation out of BOS with Delta filling in. I wonder if JetBlue will ever start Bos-Syr or Roc.

Pretty sure it's all two-class aircraft. Delta is going to kill us in BOS unless we get our shít together.

I think AA has announced reductions down to 1 daily flight to PIT. Matter of time before they axe it completely. I could see us doing a few BOS-SYR/ROC flights.
