One daily roundtrip pre cancelled for the rest of the summer. Unbelievable. This is getting scary. Sitting at the bottom of this list is a roller coaster ride for sure.
Are they nixing the routes, the round trip, or is one daily round trip all they do on those routes thence doing away with the route? Please, pardon my ignorance and all the questions, and thanks for the info.

Just one round trip per day. Not the routes. But we've already sold seats on those planes.

Exactly

This is the most flights we have ever done and they thought they could do it on the cheap, sounds like the uniforms. Something has to give, so some summer flights to FL get sliced as well as sdq.
Not sticking up for the company but is anyone shocked? Heck I am surprised they aren't just going to keep trying without making the cuts and thinking it will work.

Furlough ??? Come on man it's 10 flights mostly to Florida in the Summer time temporarily. Don't get me wrong I am not defending the companies actions, but we are no where near furlough territory.

Sidenote : who thinks this might be a scare tactic by the company in our response to the up coming picketing plans by the union ?

I guess one of the things that worry me is the product itself. The company always had the Brand to cover up its incompetence, but now its garbage. I won't even commute on my own airline so I wonder how pax feel

But I also wonder, whats the basis for them being more cheap than ever the last year? Is it because they're getting ready to pay us? Driving up the stock price to get a max deal on a buyout/merge? Or is it things are so bad internally, they're just gonna run it into the ground? Just from my 20 years in 121, I see a lot of red flags

It's scary and at the same time causes sadness to see these type of comments, as a new hire it's depressing to see that you didn't take the right desicion by coming here, and things continue to move in a bad direction as everyone senior at b6 suspects.

Guys this sounds like a negotiating scare tactic from the outside looking in. Now maybe these (small) things would've happened anyway but the company will certainly use it to their advantage in the negotiating rhetoric. Don't let it affect you. Don't accept less because pilot contracts have never killed or saved an airline on their own. Watch the problems magically solve themselves once an industry standard contract is signed.
