Taking a poll. Stay regional captain or take a job with jb now?
Captain at least gets pic and chance of going elsewhere
With jb it looks like permanent stagnation and at a 20% discount from your fellow jb pilots based on the e190... ( still more than regional cpt though)

Edit...it’s a 1 year seat lock, and 1st year pay is the same. So you may be on 190 pay for 1 maybe 2 years...with much better seniority. So I guess it depends on how things shake out, especially once we start getting a220s.

Well did you interview and were you offered a job or is this all theory?
Would you make more at JetBlue vs your regional?
Would it get rid of a commute or would you move to a base.
Do you want 15% going up to 16% in your 401k without you putting a dollar in?
Do you know if you will get a call to a major?
Do you like the East Coast?
The 190s will be gone in the future and the pay will be close would that be ok?
Do you feel like you must fly wide bodys one day?
Is JetBlue Mesa and gojet NO do they offer what the big guys do NO
They are an East Coast airline that is growing (slowly) that fly narrow body aircraft with an OK contract and an ehh management team. That is the current view maybe it will change maybe it won’t.
I fly the 190 I don’t come across many unhappy FOs. Many live in base and that makes a massive difference but I have flown with plenty that commute and are also happy. There are a few that totally hate it here but most want the airline to be great it’s more of a lack of vision or investment in employees that is annoying. Most guys say they have apps out and if they get a call they will look at it if they don’t it’s not the end of the world. But that’s the airline environment we have today and I think that’s a good thing.
Bluedriver will tell you the same thing we have a great group of pilots and I would even say employees who want to do a good job and resent the wasted potential this airline has if the ELT could just come up with a plan. That’s where imho a lot of frustration comes from. They have everything they need but they can’t see it.
It looks like you did interview so I honestly think you need to look at what is important to you and does JetBlue (currently) check those boxes. If not it might not be a good fit.

You should definitely stay at your regional. I don’t want to fly with you already.
