Aip is terrible?
Tell us whats in it htf.
Use your head and wait until you can at least tear up the 20 page section on reserve rules or the scope section or the pairing construction.
Why would you want to decide now? Are you that blindly angry?
Serious question- not an attack, although I expect one back from one of the NO voters.

The rules will only get us to where we should've been all along. For example, we should've always been able to start reserve at least at 1000L instead of 0200L. We should've always have the reserve schedule out by a certain time, not late for entire months continuously. You're trying to shine a turd by being grateful for petty privileges real airlines already had. BJ played B6ALPA and you by keeping standard so low that now you beg for table scraps.
Will the basic pay rates exceed the pathetic Alaska+1 in the AIP bulletpoints? If not, only the senior dinosaurs will benefit since they can monopolize the productive trips while spending half their time deadheading. The rest of BJ pilots will still get paid barely pennies more than now and grossly below real airlines. If you have a family and can't work 100 credit hrs a month, all the rules in the world won't pay the bills.
This communique is for entertainment purposes only. It does not implicitly or explicitly acknowledge employment with any air carrier nor is any relationship implied. This communique does not represent the opinions or policies of ALPA or JB ALPA and does not represent the collective pilot group, ALPA, nor does it imply collective bargaining, advocacy, or workforce actions intended to disrupt operations.

We'll have the info we need soon enough to make an informed decision Q. Are you going to wait? Oh yea, you're not.

I have no choice but to wait - you know that...
On the other hand, consider this... WITHOUT being a workaholic family wrecker who picks up RSA's 24/7, how will the 99% BJ pilot demographic benefit from the low basic AIP bulletpoint rates?
What will the final language do? Tell us that reserve now starts at 1000L instead of 0200L. We should've had that all along! Even if it has better commuting possibilities, it still won't appreciably increase pay. BJ has engineered an almost cost-neutral proposal that simply trades rules we should've always had for us working harder but still not making professional rates. If rates don't increase substantially, then you're basically trading higher productivity (you work harder) to get better work rules. How is this a win for us?
We demand PAY & RULES, not trading one for another.

It took 3 times to get ALPA on property and that's pathetic.
But they're here now and the market is at a record position. CEOs and all the MBAs are hoarding all the profit off our backs. It's time to pay up to the people who actually do the work - the professionals.

How do you know I didn't vote Yes to ALPA the first time and was also instrumental in getting them on property? (not admitting to anything either way) In any case... yes, BJ pilots are getting what they deserve. It's shameful to see such a defeated, beaten down pilot group that begs for sloppy seconds and is happy with petty privileges they should've had all along. It's entirely OUR fault.
