Haha what? So SWA is a major but JB isn’t? Might want to relook the definition of a major.
And to say you need to be independently wealthy at JB but not SWA is laughable. Do you know the pay difference between the two airlines?
Regarding bases, SWA has a lot more options and some more desirable bases. That’s a factor with any airline.
Edit: I love it. Even more legacy guys coming to the JB forum to crap on JB.

Another United guy I think.
Amazing for all these guys that think so low of us they sure do spend a lot of time telling us. Funny it never happens when they ask for a jumpseat. I guess I will go to my daughters daycare tomorrow and tell the three year olds how smart I am, kind of the same thing.

Six legs would never work at Jetblue due to their route structure. A four legger on the 190 is already pushing it with all the delay-prone airports it flies to. A triple EWR turn pairing with 11 hours max duty would have to go through 2 Reserves plus someone on VDA if there’s a cloud in the sky. They’re already complaining about how much they’re paying in VDA’s post CBA.

Like we can’t do it ourselves

Look dude respectfully you are either a troll or an idiot. You keep running around making stuff up and saying it’s true when it’s not. Maybe you should apply for a job at CNN these days.
Show me on the doll where the brain is and use yours. You are far to emotional about this when you don’t even work here and you have already told us it will fail, so sit back and watch the giant blue fireworks and tell yourself how amazing you are. That way you will be happy and so will we.

One of the possible variable to consider is the future uncertainty of an unstable economy vs a solid strategy.
1. SWA is a 40 years solid reality, JB is a bit more subject to instability;
2. JB is expanding but unless JB accept the challenge and start to compete with SWA ... JB will never be able to grow as much as SWA, because SWA is already there;
3. Can JB compete against SWA? Not at the current status (and they do not even want to);
4. and yes depend on your age ... there is a possibility you will never be a CP in SWA ... but who gives a ******* ... QoL is the key ... and QoL is better in an organize company! ... like I said many of us would like to have your problem
