So I got an email from GIS yesterday, saying that they haven’t been able to verify ANY of my previous employment. To aid in the process, to please send the W2s from my previous employers for the last 5 years and a copy of my diploma and transcripts. First of all, I sent all that a month ago. Second of all, if I supply all that, then I’m verifying my own previous employment. What are they getting paid for? So I called GIS and had to speak to an operator since the person that wrote to me would not answer the phone, and I told them I had supplied all the information a month ago, and she said that the person working my file must have missed the email with the attachments, but she can see that it’s there, but she would forward it to her and make a note of it. Here I am hoping to hear that I’m done with phase 2 soon and freaking GIS has done NOTHING for an entire month with my employment verification. I’m so upset. I did and sent
everything they asked for but they “missed” my email with all the attachment. Unreal.

I was stuck only two weeks. I just sent it again because i never got the confirmation that they received it and heard back the next day. Possible coincidence but worth a try.

I think I emailed and called GIS about 30 times about my employment and education overseas. Some emails came without clear instructions, one lady then say to fax Only, when I was able to reach her 3 days later, calling about 10 times a day, she said “why don’t you just email it to me?”

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. I definitely will try again in the future. I will keep a positive attitude about it all. My view about it all is if I dont get hired I will try harder next time. I'm not going to beat myself up over it. In my mind I thought the f2f went well which goes to show sometimes the reasons for not getting hired or moving on aren't as transparent as we would like. I really wish I knew what I could improve on though... a little constructive feedback is always a plus in my book.
