Hmmm, I think Minimums had it correct?
25.R.7.j - "A reserve may pick-up an RSA or a VDA on a day off".
No mention about opentime on days off and
25.O.11.b and c designates "Applicable time..., the company shall offer Lineholders in premium first come/ first serve" and " Lineholders in Global first come/first serve".
I know that just designates the time, but why would it specifically state " lineholders" and not just " any pilot"?
Sure wouldn't make sense for "Global" to be limited to lineholders? But this is JB or I haven't yet comprehended section 25?

Premium Open Time shall pay 150% of a Pilot’s hourly rate. Reserves shall be paid above guarantee.
This probably should be addressed by the company/union.

Thank you for beating me to the reply. I didn’t realize that their was any doubt about this. The AIP roadshow Q&A was hounded on this and while ALPA hasn’t stuck to there word on some of the issues they answered during the roadshow they sounded pretty confident on this issue. Make no mistake JB wants to get the most out of us. Good for those who want to work and make money but bad for total bodies on property.

To the OP. Here was my reasoning, YMMV. I'm bidding about 35% as a BOS 320 FO. I don't generally do weekends or red eyes and usually then by choice. I get good three and four day trips and live in base, albeit a two hour drive each way so.....
I was pretty gung ho to finally bid left seat 190. I bid it on the last system bid with a 65% qualifier but just missed that. In the end I'm actually relieved about the result.
Given the reduction in force by end of next year on the 190 CA side, the loss of some of the EPS and premium pay for reserves, etc. I have decided to stay in the bus. I have young kids at home. I enjoy the ability to control my schedule, and I like being home weekends and holidays. The difference in pay, once all that extra stuff goes away, in 190 CA and Bus FO, was not enough to entice me to lose those things, considering the realities of a declining fleet. A couple extra days of my choosing at work each month and most of that difference goes away. Not all but most.
That was my reasoning for what its worth. It may prove to be wrong, the 190 may not go away as fast as planned. The next contract might change the pay. But based on what we have now that's what worked for my family and I.
Now if you are senior to me as a bus FO in Boston, disregard all the above and bid any other seat.

Seniority number 2306 would be at 35% in BOS 320 FO based on current active bidders (not counting the latest awards who are not trained/transferred). That’d be a 8/28/13 hire. Same seniority would be 82.2% in BOs E90 CA.

35% BOS 320 FO = 22.5% JFK 320 FO
Sen 2500 (320 FO):
44% BOS, 29% JFK, 34% FLL
Or 88/81% BOS/JFK for 190CA

No it doesn’t. New fleet types aren’t seat locked for the first 6 months of revenue service.
So probably just for the first 220 bid, seat locks will be lifted if you bid the 220
Nice necro thread btw.
