In base for B6 or commuting for a legacy?

PM sent with more, but all else being equal I'd take JB not commuting over a legacy with a commute. But over 30 years, bases will open and close, mergers and bankruptcies will happen, contracts will evolve and get better/worse relative to others, so a good plan now will most definitely look different in 5/10/20/30 years.

If you come here just know that you have settled for less pay for the rest of your life. Demanding pay rates and profit sharing equal to your peers is unacceptable. The laws of nature demand that we make less. If you don't like it apply at AA.

Whining about one's station in life on an anonymous internet forum is juvenile at best.

To the OP, what’s your time worth to you? Commuting will be an extra few days away from home. Is that worth the extra money? I’d need over $50k a year extra to go back to commuting and I’m not sure that would be enough.

Just be real with your advice to others, as in the advice YOU'D want to receive if making a major life decision. (Or don't post at all, if you have nothing of value to add). Not everyone who comes to this forum for real advice knows to ignore you like others of us.
Many people do use these forums for info and advice, something that used to be easier to come by.

Perhaps if you'd post less nonsensically, we'd not have to determine what was believable and what was jusy blather?

If you come here just know what you are getting into. You will be flying with a bunch of low expectation pilots. Your contract will always lag due to this fact.
It's what I wish someone would have told me. Go to Delta. Avoid this place; and if you get hired keep your apps out and leave.

Dude, you've been at JetBlue a week. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Clearly we disagree on quite a bit. But honestly, this job isn't worth it if it makes you miserable. Even taking the seniority hit and going to DL/AA/UAL might be worth it for you if you are this unhappy.
I'm smart enough that I could find another job in another career field if I wasnt happy here. I think you are smart enough as well.
Maybe it's time to rethink your career expectations/ choices? You are both appathetic and angry. Maybe some self refection would be good for you?

It comes in many flavors. Some are angry, some condescending. The most effective (I have noticed) is when they try to make themselves sound reasonable and that they are just trying to "help".
If you want to make me happy stop voting in terrible CBAs. Draw a line in the sand and don't cross it for a COLA adjustment. Then I can finally be happy, since it's so important to you.
