Training failure?

Anyone recently been hired within a year/6 months from a training failure?

Never know unless you apply.

It is an AQP failure? Is it just a single failure or did you fail an upgrade or transition?

I was in an unfortunate position last year to be selected for a 135.293a oral with my company’s POI after the former DO was fired and went on to accuse the company of a myriad of issues. This oral was not tied to any training event but I did bust it. The unfortunate part was that I failed it after my video interview submission but prior to receiving my additional flight information form. I disclosed it along with my only other failure of a 141 stage check in 2005 during primary training. Almost three weeks after sending in my flight information addendum I received a TBNT, please reapply in 6 months. I assume that if such a failure would prevent from working at JetBlue the email would have indicated that. Since that time I’ve passed a 297, 299, and another 293 oral and checkride. I had never failed any 121 training AQP or non AQP but I suspect I won’t be given further consideration for at least two years as mentioned above.

This is hyper’s area, so I’ll let him give you the final word answer. However, the reasoning for waiting 2 years after an AQP bust isn’t the bust itself, it’s that an AQP failure requires 2 years of special tracking. So, my understanding is, we would have to put you in special tracking just to get you in our AQP program without having any issues here.

Hyper, does that sound right?

Special Tracking is 1 year at my 121 as long as you pass your 2 Ground, 2 MV/LOE and 1 Line Check within the 12 months footprint. It might be airline dependent as not every 121 has the same FAA approved AQP Level.

Question do you think because the fail was within the 2yr mark that’s why they said TBNT?
