Not sure anyone can do that consistently, but I was referring to senior guys dropping trips, then picking up VDAs over them. Not working very many scheduled days a month, but still killing it money wise.

And then there are the folks who bid RSV, only fly 5 days a month, but get paid for 17. Another way to make pretty easy money.

That is exactly what you said, so please show an example of how you get there.

Let's see these amazing trips... I'll wait.

What aircraft, base, and seat can you be on reserve and only fly 5 days per month? Are you talking about October or June?

All this is a function of seniority.
There’s those who can and do and others who can’t.

I was a senior fo bid rsv weekends off. I’d sell back pto and pick up a random VDA on Friday or Saturday a few times a month. You can do this when you’re a single digit. You can’t at the bottom of the list, or it’s at least much harder. Every few weeks I’d get nasty letters from the landing currency lady.

Seems this is an argument over a 1%er.

You are likely very senior, and also likely the only one who flew zero hours (on LCR).
I watched Reserve Availability all month, and the average for LCR pilots was around 45 hours. The average for SCR was around 30 hours.
I flew three day trips the whole month on SCR.

This conversation got sidetracked with the reserve aspect. His primary comment, which he has yet to justify one bit:

Yes, that's literally what it says.

According to him, the senior guys can fly 5-6 days per month and make 400k.

Please show us these great trips.
