Yes, in an ideal world our CBA would only permit us to work Tuesdays between 10am and 3pm but that’s not the reality. We have to take it upon ourselves to create a tolerable schedule for each of us.

From: DOWNGRADE COMPLETE: Thanks Gary. Thanks SWAPA.
Contract
Section 1.E
Merger and Successorship Protections
Everyone should read it...
Bottom line, unless we become wildly unprofitable and the board can no longer purchase back their stocks at a billion dollar rate every year or two... we should all be employed with a fair and equitable(cough) SLI, that falls within the ALPA merger policy or the confines of Allegheny-Mohawk and McCaskill-Bond. Which ensures that everyone on both sides will be equally irritated, p!ssed off, defrauded of QOL due to the other pilots on the other side of the fence.
At least for two years. Then the furloughs start.

Bologna. AirTran had a really bad year in 2008 with the high fuel prices. Date of merger announcement was Sept. 2010 by which time we were back to doing fairly well.

Man you’re angry. RSA’s or VDA’s are in the CBA just like Green Slips are in Delta’s contract. You don’t think someone at Delta will get a Green Slip tomorrow? Every airline has bases that are more short-staffed than others. I know FO’s here at Jetblue on reserve who haven’t flown in ages.

True, but don't you think it's shocking how many RSAs there are midweek, clear skies, and during the 'slow part' of the month? I think it's more of a reflection of the lack of planning by BJ * rather then the merits of a RSA?
When BJ controls the staffing, rather than a formula bound by a contract, Bubs has it correct...more suck.
*unless there is a merger coming

Very JB.
But... We're just like Delta. Except everything.
