That's not what he was referring to. For one, he made no reference to vda in his first sentence. Second, there is no way, as a strategy, to be sure you won't fly and also no way to be sure you can get 5-6 vda. Third, his last sentence says that pilot could hand pick his day turns.
Only way to hand pick your day turns is via your PBS bid, in other words, as a line holder.
So... Waiting for him to show examples of the trips in the bid that allow one to make 400k working 5-6 days per month.
I'll wait.

Then out of base paper DH VDA route.
That is about it.
But shegone in the CBA!
BTW, one was canned!

I’m not defending anyone here and I’m just doing this because I’m a nerd and it’s fun. There is a scenario though.
Senior captain bids reserve. Doesn’t get called at all. Is so senior all the VDA calls go to him. And does 6 a month. Let’s break it down what don’t you say..
264 (hourly rate at 12 years) X 200 percent (VDA) X 6 hrs ( day credit) X 5 times a month = 15,840 plus his Base of 19,800 (75 hours X 264) = 35,640 X 12 (months on the year) = 427,680 a year. Not adding per diem or our industry leading showing “caring” value profit sharing.
So he’s not wrong technically

Choices. That's what is so great about this industry. Just about anyone can have whatever schedule they want, after some time on the bottom. That was the point I was trying to illustrate.
