I'm Sept 19 interview. I keep calling GIS and they have been waiting on my DOT for over a month and a half. I have started to get my PRIA in the mail from the FAA and now my airline last week. So don't worry it's moving. I'm just not sure why the DOT is taking so long? One person told me they have 30 days to respond and it's a simple fax. Then when it went over 30 days they just tell me on the phone "we need a fax"???? I was getting very hopeful/excited maybe I'd be done in time for the January class but haven't heard of any Phase 2 complete emails going out in the last few weeks...

We were told at that interview around then that any class would be around April or May. Certainly not in january. Anyways maybe I should also make a call to GIS to see what the deal is. I also have gotten my pria response and company response paperwork so... ya..

Yeah but that's was told to us as the longest time you'll have to wait. A decent amount of Aug. interviewees are in class in December. As well as rumored class size of 40-50 again in January. When we interviewed they were doing class sizes of 15....

Ahhh okay, my mistake. Guess got a little too excited then! It looked like a handful just here on the forums. I guess we are still on track for April time then. Seems like some do get in early but it's rare.

Default PIlot Hiring Committee

I know this is a long shot but....anyone have any educated guesses on when the Pilot Hiring Committee will convene for interviewees in September?

JB is my number one choice but I got offered a class date with another carrier and trying to make a decision with best information available. Im appreciative that this is a decision at all for me but hard to turn down a class date while still waiting to be in the pool.

A bird in the hand my friend...

Don't feel bad about taking a class elsewhere, and walking out if JB calls you. We have new hires leaving all the time in such a fashion. 21 did so this yer in fact.

Honestly don't know, but I doubt it. When I said "walk out", I meant to walk over to the HR department and let them know you got hired elsewhere and are leaving. Not just disappearing like Houdini. Had a guy in my class do it on day 2 of training. No big deal.
