Would you still buy it if you were in a liquidity crisis yourself and your income just stopped but you still had bills to pay, with no timeline for when you’d start making money again?

Robin said in the CNBC interview yesterday that a third of the fleet is unencumbered. I don’t know the lease/loan split for the remaining 2/3, it’s in the annual report and I’ll dig it out when I get a few minutes. But those details aren’t as important as the number of unencumbered planes. Either way, monthly payments are due on those 2/3.

Wow. I wonder what those numbers would be if the money used for stock buybacks was used to pay for airplanes instead. Unbelievable.

Bingo.

One of the best balance sheets in the US airline industry and complaining about being unable to obtain Airbus aircraft... Wouldn't even need to fly them immediately, could send them to cabin refresh.

This country WILL come out of this... Individuals who have money saved would be long-term wise to buy stocks and funds at a large discount. Company's with strong balance sheets would be wise to buy needed infrastructure at very large discounts...

But what do I know, I'm woefully ignorant.

CEO and airline telling everyone they aren't in a liquidity crisis.

This whole thing just started and the financial impact hasn’t hit yet. So of course there isn’t one right now. If the coming revenue hit lasts a while, it’ll be a different story.
