In light of the weeks economy news, falling stock market, and falling consumer sentiment maybe the smart thing for the company to do is a small yearly bid and just suck up the vacation risk of supplemental bids later next year.
Really who is confident in 2022’s economy?

Per my investment management firm - It is called a market correction. All the signs of a correction. No signs of a recession in this dip. Lots of people get head faked. The little man with golf shoes runs through the pit of their stomach. Sell low, buy high. They continue to convince themselves to do foolish things.

We rely too much on the technology and it always has issues because they’re always jacking around with it. Name one program Jetblue has bought off the shelf and not tried to reprogram it to do something cute… and then try launching it right before a Holiday rush.
And when the technology crashes, they fall back on the people on the front lines to do a work-around which takes more time and money than if they hadn’t jacked around with it in the first place. Jetblue standard. We never learn.

The reason (or so i was told) these awards are junior is the last group in the 2020 system bid (the one done in august 2019) with effective dates of 12/2020 still had cancelation rights. The previous effective dates on that bid did not because they expired. This caused people who could only hold captain on the last effective date of that bid to get it this time around, when people senior to them, who held it earlier, had their cancelation rights expire, and therefore couldn’t hold it again on this bid. Kind of a crappy move. Something else to fix in CBA 2.0. Hopefully all those guys who held it before, but not this time, and who are senior to these 3XXX guys, get it again on this august bid.
