If I get a Jumpseat to London, and there are open mint seats, what are the chances I get one instead of a normal seat? Thanks.

If you are a JB employee, great... If not, it is currently prohibited I believe.

Answered earlier in the thread. Chances are zero since it’s a termination offense for our FAs. It’s a dumb policy which we are trying to get changed.

So what if you were to list as a ZED fare? Might be worth the $ if it was a possibility.

If you work for a carrier where we have reciprocal business class ZEDs, absolutely. (United, AA and AA wholly-owneds are the only US carriers I believe). They won’t move you up on a coach-zed listing though.

Speaking of “reciprocal” I guess we’re lucky other carriers let us sit in business class when we jumpseat on them, even though we relegate them to coach when they jumpseat on us. I recently had AA and DL assign me seats in business while I was commuting in uniform. Crazy that I would’ve had to sit in coach if it had been a company Mint flight.

Does anyone know about the departure taxes out of London? Are they paid by the jumpseater at the counter?
