Find the guy who never flew a turboprop out of a big hub! I’ll take that little whoosh sound over droning Garrets all day long.

Default System Bid

Does anybody know if many people decided to go into the 220 when the system bid happened. I start soon and was wondering how senior it is now.

I think they delayed a bunch of A220 transitions (already at the company) from the end of this year to the early part of 2023. This is due to aircraft delivery delays. I would say it would depend on how “soon” you’re starting. If it’s the Spring/Summer timeframe then I would think your odds are better than now.

We've had less than 1/2 dozen new hires get the 220 since March. Your chances are likely pretty slim in the near term. That said, they could decide that the next 3 classes are 90% 220.

I’d expect a lot of new hires to get the A220 in Boston in mid November and December.

There are quite a few training slots that are allocated for them.
