That's about 1.5yrs of hiring* to get CA. That's not bad at all, probably a histrical low in the last 10yrs at JetBlue. But yes, DL/UA is even faster
*I am purposefully excluding the time JetBlue was not hiring between 3/2020 and 8/2021 as those dates in between don't exist on the seniority list.

Its absolutely not apples to oranges. Legacy Captain positions are unfilled (equal to the highest paying B6 airplane) at multiple legacies. Where one can not hold a lower paying airplane at B6. It’s an absolutely fair comparison.

Dude, 2.5 years of seniority is nothing LOL. Be patient.
But to be fair, I get what your saying…
It’s also frustrating to wait 30 days for results and then see errors giving awards to pilots that have moved on already and aren’t even on the seniority list any longer. Positions that should’ve gone to others

We’re pilots, we like to pretend things always have been and always will be the way they are today. Recessions and furloughs are a thing of the past and portfolios should follow the 80/20 rule (Tesla/Bitcoin).

Just to put all this in perspective, shortly before hiring restarted after the lost decade, there were 25 year regional pilots with a clean record just hoping they would get a call to be a FO with one of the majors! Some would never get a chance to upgrade to CA with the major, before they hit 65.
