Just like you’d defend a staple doesn’t mean I won’t defend losing years of seniority. Outside that we can have a beer and talk about anything that doesn’t involve planes or work. It’s all relative btw. Let’s not forget how the frontier group treated the republic pilots. Granted there’s been many different faces in frontier since then.
Very true, and as a Republic pilot post-Frontier era I heard the stories. Not worried about those individuals being the majority either at Frontier or JetBlue.

We agree that the SLI would be far more contentious at JetBlue. I don’t think we will see either a pure DOH or pure relative seniority blend at the end of the day, and most guys seriously discussing it agree neither would be fair. Here’s to hoping that whatever solution might happen only screws both pilot groups equally instead of screws one group a whole bunch.

I was at republic right after it happened and oh the stories were great. Regardless of it all we have no say in what the companies do, little say in regards of SLI, and a lot to say on a JCBA. If it happens I’m certain you’d enjoy flying with 99 percent of the people.

but there are a lot of unknowns in arbitration, as we now know

I never applied either. Had zero desire to work for a stagnant airline. Still do actually….

Yeah, not exactly stagnant. And most of us never sent a resume to Spirit.

Stagnant? We are hiring 100’s of pilots a month to cover growth, attrition, and retirements.
I think it’s in our best interests to be as amicable as possible.
You guys are getting a pretty nice pay bump, will retain most of your east cost bases, and can wash off the ULCC stigma.
Jetblue pilots can expect more growth, pacific and more Atlantic ETOPS, new great pilot co workers, and a less blurry future.
There’s going to be a lot of drama regarding the ISL but in the end it’s best for both pilot work groups.

So many Fan boys on both sides.

Where is the guy that was stroking the lay down seats on a 321 narrow body over the Atlantic?

If this deal makes it all the way to SLI, the arbitrator will go through all the opinions posted on the internet and tally up the points for both sides. The more posts in favor of DOH, the more weight it will have in the final formula, and the same for relative seniority.

I know right. Where’s all this JetBlue hate coming from lol? I chose Spirit because “blah blah blah”. Yea sure you did. Not that we’re the most awesome place to work, but let’s not pretend like JetBlue doesn’t bring Spirit up in almost every conceivable way.

What in the world are you talking about?? 100s a month? Hiring to staff for retirements?? How many requirements do we have, two month at most?
Once you clear the bottom 30%, our list is very stagnant. And will be for the next 15 years.
