Yes, we have pilot attrition, but it has actually slowed down a bit. It is not as bad as other airlines (e.g. Alaska). OSC is/was a complete mess for the last few months, again, due to management failures. Anyone who gives up a class date (Seniority) for a 1 time halfa$$ check is crazy. 1 class can be the difference between upgrade, or not, furlough, or not, someday. 1 PILOT ahead of you can be the difference between holding the cherry trip you want on the monthly bid, or not.
Especially for a guy who only been here a couple years. That little pittance of money isn't worth waiting for and giving up a class date. |
