Lord over the smaller carriers? Dude you’ve got some internal stuff to work out. Inferiority complex or something. I’m simply comparing hard numbers with respect to our contracts. And guess what, after an analysis, I’d take AA current CBA over B6. Even if we didn’t have wide bodies or retirements. And thanks for the well wishes with respect to our ongoing negotiations. We’ll do our best to lead the industry into a new and improved standard with respect to pilot compensation.

And please don’t talk about the last 100 years. Your airline didn’t even exist on 9/11 so you have no idea how B6 would’ve weathered the last 100 years of history.

Not going to get in a back and forth but before you make claims b6 commenced operations in February 2000. If you go back and look at some of the history of airlines after 9/11 b6 was one of the few to make a profit after the downturn of airline operations.

Late to the party, but here’s my 2 cents, I’ve been a BOS 190 FO for ~3 years. I live 90 minutes from the airport and have similar priorities…so far I am happy I chose B6. I held 14-hr long call within about 6 months. The most I’ve flown on reserve is 13 day…December and summer have been the busiest, but still more days at home than gone. Overall, I’d estimate average has been around 7-10 flying days per month, excluding COVID. At current seniority, long call or a decent line with any days I need off is basically a sure thing. Three and four-leg days in the 190 tend to break on bad weather days, so adding a few days/month flying for premium (150%) or VDA (200%) pay above 75-hour reserve guarantee has been pretty easy to do for the last year or so. Lots of room for improvement in the operation, but for me the pros have definitely outweighed the cons.

Any changes to the guidance / consensus in this thread for 2023? <90 min drive to BOS.

AA for retirements
B6 for just about everything else (when it comes to BOS)

Those are my thoughts so far…

JetBlue. Because after two months at JetBlue you can flow to Delta, AA, or United.

If you go to AA then you can only go to AA.

Fkng 1k bonus after tax wtf , I don’t know what the subject is but Im sure this applies , go somewhere else where you don’t get mistreated for being a new hire, that’s the culture here. And yeah nobody talking about this yet but this guys about to get raped during the merge, we all know it and no one seems to care, that’s the culture . Systematically late and systematically submissive. Bye

And by the way everyone knows AA’s contract and management is the worst, I’m surprised there is even a discussion on that. They have the best seniority progression as of today and that’s it.

It was 100% the right move. There is zero reason to allocate a larger percentage of the money to pilots on probation. Historically you won’t even be there in a year where those with 5+ are much more likely to be.

The entitlement of 1 year pilots is amusing.
