what's Chatter? And how do you see it?
Hopefully everyone has seen the Blast now. TA reached at midnight. It is being voted on this morning. Fingers crossed |

Yeah. A TA with basically no fight involved. I'm sure its stellar. I've tried to argue for DAL or UAL rates to some of our union leadership and they sound like Robin trying to manage expectations. I hope I'm wrong though. |

The Delta deal shows that they paid a hefty price for waiting. They could’ve given us Alaska + weeks ago and we probably would’ve signed, only to have buyer’s remorse being locked in once the Delta AIP rolled out. Only costs them more to wait, especially since everyone will probably demand Delta or better, willing to risk protracted labor disputes as a result. |

What do you mean no fight involved? The company fought this hard, trying to make it seem like the union was the problem by bringing up unexpected “items of little economic value”. Suddenly they are buying the MEC reps off their trips and desperately not letting them walk out the door to declare a labor dispute. How would the TA be anything trash if they signed off with that kind of power?

Well, in fairness it seems the company fought this hard, and then didn't...

I dont see how that can be anything but good. We had negotiations sessions scheduled thru to January, no? And a labor dispute to throw in if we needed it. We wrapped early, on the heels of Delta’s TA (er, well, and NK’s, too)… It might not be mindblowing, but I bet it gets the job done.
That is the multi-million dollar question. |

If memory serves; SW rates only exceeded legacy rates after the legacies went through bk post 9-11. S |
