So if you read my post, I thought I was clear I was talking about instructors who can’t hold captain because they are prevented from upgrading because of the CBA restricting them from flying more than two days a month. I think that is a legitimate complaint. If you are then going to say they should go be a line pilot, I guess my response to you (since you seem to have the impression that instructors have a cushy job) is to go be an instructor…problem solved.

Regardless, as a former line pilot and commuter, I want something in this TA that is good for everyone, line pilots and instructors alike.

I remember back when I was based in MCO with 8 years in pulling gear for instructors in the left seat with 4 or 5 years getting 90 hrs of left seat pay and they’re b!tching about something.

Basically based on MCO with a “paper bid” of BOS captain, flying senior day trips they get to pick and choose that they wouldn’t have a chance holding even as a line FO, and getting paid captain pay while sitting next to FOs well senior to them who don’t have a prayer in holding any of that

Complain somewhere else

Now, I'm not saying it isn't great, no idea. Simply that it better be great, otherwise we will have thrown in the towel before the fight.

Hoping that's not the case.

Cautiously optimistic. It seems like there wasn’t much traction until Delta came out with their agreement two weeks ago. Last week’s session seemed to be a come to Jesus moment from what I’ve heard. A week later we have an agreement. The leverage during the holiday season is another good point. We shall see.

Winning statement right there.

How important is the leverage during the holiday season though really? I mean the company can just treat it like a 2 week IROP. They've been there before. Not sure getting a deal before the end of a year was as much leverage as many may think.

Like that one time they gave up picket #2 and summer leverage with the trash they shoved down jetblue pilots’ throat in CBA1? Not holding my breath.

I kind of feel like the billboards and advertising would be more effective in the months PRIOR to summer or the holidays when people are buying tickets. Do you want to buy on an airline that treats its employees poorly? With unmotivated, hostile employees, will you get where you want to on time with a pleasant experience?

Just buy tickets on United and Delta and be sure.

Any implied job action would be illegal, so we have to count on the things allowed by law such as advertisements and picketing.

Exactly my thoughts…. The pressure was on, Jamie Baker had just downgraded our stock a week or two before citing mgt dragging their feet on the CBA, 2nd picket scheduled for the annual shareholders meeting, all the leverage in the world, pilot group actually engaged…… then a substandard CBA tossed at us ****ed it all away… it’s called leverage, and I hope this time they knew how to effectively use it! I don’t want to hear the air slowly getting released from our collective tire again.

Agree completely... Don't fold when the fight is turning in your favor.

When should we expect details?

FuzzyMulberry12 12-15-2022 07:58 AM

NK FO here, I hope your rates far surpass expected and that gives our pilot group an even better reason to turn our Turd down.
