I'm not arguing they should be eliminated; that is a more nuanced matter. I'm just asking if there's anything else in your contract to justify the low pay rates or that can be brought to the table in a JCBA. Because the past 10+ pages suggest that's all you've got. We are looking to be educated.

And this is why PS will never happen. We will be so in the weeds on this JCBA.

Not enough people will have it as a priority on their survey, and for some reason our union feels no need to satisfy anything beyond the survey data.

Big problem, why isn't the union EDUCATING the membership as to the value of PS? Each year when we get the Jelly of the Month Club certificate in leu of PS, why doesn't B6ALPA send a graphic to everyone's address showing what our peers get at W2 100k, 200k, 300k and 400k?

Only then would survey data be accurate.

Can JetBlue pilots trade between bases?? Say, a commuter is based in New York but wants a Boston trip, can I swap into said Boston trip if the days are green in NY??

No. Out of base swaps/pickups allow for seniority end-runs/manipulation and allow the company to further under staff.

Occam's razor would suggest if the pilot group's expectations are lower, the NC/MEC's job is easier. I think it's by design.

Can you give us a crash course on how your X/Y list works?

I fear you are correct. Then how do you ever raise the bar and get full parity?

Your guess is as good as mine. I’m even growing leery of my own 191 council, and I’ve always liked a trusted most of those guys.

stick a 24hr fence on that, problem solved. Without that I would definitely agree however with it there’s more upside to that provision than down imo. Especially considering your probability going to have several more bases. It also helps to clear out more garbage opentime freeing up the grid. Would you rather fly a garbage weekend trip that no pilots in domicile want or commute 3-4hrs?

that actually sucks that you can’t do that, especially for commuters. Say you’re JFK based and live in CLT. It would be nice to have the option to pick up say a ATL trip ( if the deal goes through) or something from another base that’s a similar distance. Also for junior people who live in base but can’t hold a line in that base it allows you to drop your trips from your more junior base and pick up trips where you live. It’s pretty nice
