We need more connections through there. As a west coaster, I know when I want to fly to Texas, or New Mexico, Missouri, Chicago or anywhere else for that matter I always prefer to go through JFK.

I just can't figure out why we haven't been able to grow out west with our sweet sweet "big picture" route plan...

I'm sure paying double the market rate for NK will fix our problems though. There is literally no better way to spend a few billion dollars.

Home Basing coming in 2024 (as long as you live east of BUF)

Combined - assuming not much overlap - they’d have a pretty decent sized operation out of either base and would probably just keep both rather than working any sort of displacement/consolidation. Makes me wonder though what that would do to seniority at LAS though. California marginal state income tax rate on $300k is 9.3%. Nevada income tax for all brackets is 0%. That’s a non trivial difference. Of course LAS doesn’t have CA’s nice sandy beaches. Sand up the ying-yang, but beaches not so much.
Thanks for this info! I believe the west coast will have a huge seniority shakeup with the merger. B6 has at least 15 LAX pilots who live in Vegas already, plus a few dozen commuters from DEN, PHX, SLC, ABQ, etc. who could prefer Vegas. LAX could double in size, but many will move to Vegas too for the taxes.

Need airplanes and people to fly them. If they could get both quick there wouldn’t be a merger
