I fear there may be some stagnation and displacements ahead.
“During the wind-down of the NEA, our top priorities are our Crewmembers and Customers. Without the NEA, we will likely need fewer jobs in New York and Boston, but consistent with our 23-year no furlough policy, JetBlue Crewmembers at NEA airports should feel confident that we will not furlough due to this court decision. We will manage staffing levels through a combination of natural attrition, reducing new hiring at NEA airports, and working with Crewmembers there to provide other options at
JetBlue cities.”

Nothing for pilots and FA. They mentioned little to no impact on that side. IMO, they will also need that staffing to relaunch those equipments elsewhere from NY and BOS area. They can't just parked them.

Displacement in NY and BOS where majority of our attrition is already coming from? Nope. They are talking about gate agents, rampers, and tech ops. That's also who they mentioned in the pocket session just now. After they see how the winding down shakes out, they will see how many of those personnel they will need to move from LGA to JFK and whatever they did in Boston. They will also let attrition play out in those roles too.

The response: “Yes, we are drawing down some of our hiring targets through the end of 2023. They won't go to zero, but much lower than originally planned. Staffing levels at the bases are solid.”
