Sooooo just so we’re painting a clear picture here. You’re home every night while having to get almost 120hrs of FO pay to make CA guarantee? if you’re home every night are you staring at FLICA, have software “help”, or down to a handful of days off? That’s a solid chunk of VDA to expect every month. Unless you’re getting 10Hr DH turns each day.

Year 11 captain pay is about $327 times a 75 hr reserve guarantee is $24,525 a month. Divide that by year 11 FO pay, just under $226 an hr, but we’ll call it that for this conversation to not confuse those who didn’t pass 3rd grade math. That comes out to right about 108.5 hrs and, yes as a matter of fact, I’ve gotten into the 120s a few months. At high seniority FO in seat, that is a very easily attainable, if not exceeded, number not including international override, ect. You know there is a whole section in the CBA titled “Compensation” that you’ve never read that details all that. If you also actually read the contract, you’d know there are other provisions to make money like picking the turns that are known to never be on time (we’re good at that if you haven’t noticed) and leave in the late afternoon or early evening. Those turns become 10hrs when you park after 12:45 am which requires zero action under your part other than simply going to work and doing your job. Use those to cover the trips that get bought for training and you end up with around 16 hr 1 day turns. So yes you can easily do that and no I don’t need a bot or stare at Flica all day. I don’t even subscribe to Flica alerts so my phone isn’t blowing up all day. So feel free to be like everyone else and complain to the union that we don’t have Delta pay rates while simply exploiting the work rules make twice as much. I know it’s hard for some but work smarter, not harder |
Yes, VIL or part time lines have been in place for a few months. Now a displacement comes, where does B6 put everyone when cutting flying, grounded aircraft, no sign of Airbus deliveries coming on time, B6 delayed deliveries, P&W woes? Something has to give. B6 is robbing Peter to pay Paul when it comes to moving aircraft.

will surpass the total 190s we had (60) by the end of next year. Plus some 321 deliveries. |

I lost count, I thought it was at least a triple-down or double-dog-down, triple-stamp or quad-down on culture by now?
That's why I'm not counting it in any contract comparisons. |

We're up to the Triple-Down on culture, but much like positive space commuting it's non-contractual so it can be taken away at any time.

I remember back when we didn’t even need to double down on culture. Just a good ole fashioned single dose of culture would do it. Kids these days have it so easy with all these triple downs.

2025 we will end with more aircraft than we have today. So yes deliveries are slower than originally planned but they are still coming. And the 220

The unplanned for missed deliveries and grounded aircraft were surprises for 2023 and 2024. The plan for 2024 was bid on in August of 2023. The staffing is out of whack right now because we bid so far in advance. now these bids in may and august, which can really be thought of as 2 parts to the 2025 staffing model, will be for a net positive airframes from 2024. |

Clearly they need more frequent bids, and more cowbell. I mean culture. That reference just went over the head of the bottom 30% of the seniority list. |
