So much more going around and they waste their time with this partnership that was built around the failed NEA

Literally half the senate didn’t like the new federal funding bill and that passed. Who cares what 1 dude thinks? People are going to be against it; it’s not a dealbreaker.

”We think we have a good chance of winning in court”. Robin Hayes 2022 (NEA) and 2023 (NK Merger). It’s 3 and 10 and we’re down by 6 billion. They’ll fumble this one too.

United put this together to not fail. We’re just along for the ride. United seems to know what they’re doing and has the political clout to get what they want. JetBlue does not.
Blumenthol is one of the slimiest creatures in Congress. Probly looking for some hush money to go away.

I just do NOT understand what the heck these politicians want. Hurt the competition? How does a struggling airline that is circling the drain joining forces with United "hurt the competition". These people are so clueless, and all it does is fire up the public who usually respond with "Yeah! IT's gonna kill competition and raise prices!!! We need to stop it!!". Someone at JB must seriously have ticked off some politician or something back in the day, because nobody seems to like us or support us and they all act as if we're controlling the entire US airline market. We're a freaking niche east coast carrier, not Delta who owns airports all across the country/world.

"that may harm full and fair airline competition and lead to fewer and more expensive options for travelers, particularly in the New York City area."
Yeah, just like us an Spirit right? Good thing we stopped that "anti-competitive" acquisition, now we have 2 failing airlines and people losing jobs. GREAT job protecting competition so that DL/UA/AA can continue to expand their mega bases. Absolute freaking morons!

one word. Lobbying. Majors have money, we don’t. Simple as that. Right now it’s United vs Delta and American.

I wish I could say what I thought about this, but my phone might explode.

Honestly didn't see the NK/JB deal as being blocked. I guessed I underestimated Lina Khan and previous DOJ. I think they passed on HA/AS because it was just going to move into the next Administration and didn't want an open lawsuit. No reason that one would have been blocked either.

We will see how United/Jetblue partnership ends up, but it seems to be moving pretty slowly and I think its only marginally going to help Jetblue, unfortunately.
