If an acquisition doesn’t happen it’s no one’s fault but jetblue. Kirby has stated he is talking about buying assets. Analysts are referencing a merger. This sticking point in all this will not be a DOJ, Jetblue debt or anything else other than Jetblue over valuing its position.
The entire reason Jetblue is in this position to begin with is an incomprehensible level of ignorance and arrogance. You can see the evidence in how the airline is run from aircraft orders to hiring to route planning to scheduling. The evidence is everywhere.

Its truly disgusting how the lives of employees and their families are turned upside down because of bad managerial decisions, yet the same people making all the bad decisions walk away with a multitude of millions of dollars and most likely board seats at other companies.
All of you better remember this when the company comes a knocking for concessions. They all have their golden parachutes set.

Well I saw a very upvoted post on the "other" forum talking about how we should be trying to work with the company, and not be holding out for full pay in the negotiations . Remember who we work with and for.

We try to work with them, we all say on here we need to be bought or have massive expansion. No one is listening. That’s all the help we can give.

Disgusting you say, ask any current Delta, United, or one of the other thousands of currently profitable companies and they will be heaping praise on their management teams. BUT……. Those companies have also been through tough times with concessions, furloughs, mergers and failed executives. This is how Capitalism works and I wouldn’t want to live in any other form of economic model. Socialism works until the money runs out, Communism works for those who sacrifice freedom and suck the toes of the party, the rest of the population eats scraps or doesn’t eat at all. I know this because my neighbors are Cuban and have family still in the mainland and the only reason they’re still alive is because of the sustenance that my neighbors send monthly.
You work for a publicly traded company and management’s only responsibility is to abide by the fiduciary requirement to maximize returns for the shareholders. I’m not a management plant, I fly the line and know my place. If you’re disgusted with how Capitalism works for the working man then go out and get that MBA and start your very own company. At least in the USA you are afforded that opportunity. This world owes you nothing.
