Default Where is the sCal system bid?

Where is the bid? Any informed speculation on when? Also what is holding it up? Management and/or the Mec's?

That's funny stuff. I'm in the schoolhouse, and heard it was going to be today. At least they are consistent

We get them monthly now. Do you know if going forward they will be monthly or a couple times a year?

Funny how there wasn't ANY info on when a combined CMS would occur. If it's anything like the res system combo was, it won't be pretty.

True, it will not be pretty. I predict lots of gnashing of teeth, mass chaos, dogs and cats living together, etc..

If it's anything like other target dates, like for offline PBS bidding or iPads, confidence level is not high.

"Stand-Alone Bid Module: Carmen promised, on Feb 22, 2006, to deliver the SABM (offline bidding software.) The last update from Carmen indicates that they are working with a third-party vendor to develop this program, and more information should be available by August, 2006."

iPads will arrive next month and FAA approval to not carry paper manuals will be Dec 2012.

Not the MECs, at least not the CAL MEC. Part of the blast mail last week or maybe the one before that said they have been telling the company a bid needs to come out YESTERDAY if they have any hope of covering staffing needs for the summer.

At the TA roadshows, they were saying September/October as they need to have everyone on a combined system before the new FT/DT rules come into effect. They also need to have a two or three month buffer in the event some "issues" occur with the combination. Hence the reason many of the provisions won't be in full effect until combined CMS...and conveniently after the summer flying season.
